My wife and I selected Collin Stoops with CDI Remodeling for our kitchen renovation. This would be an extensive undertaking and renovation – everything in the kitchen was ripped out, taking the kitchen down to the studs and foundation. Walls were removed and load bearing beams put in to support an open concept layout. All new cabinets, counters, the whole nine yards.
This was our first major renovation in our own house, although my wife had plenty of experience in construction from her job. We asked a lot of questions and called references – everyone said Collin was one of the few good contractors out there who stood by his work and did what was asked, and had nothing but glowing reviews of his work.
Collin and his subcontractors were a true pleasure to work with. They took the utmost care and pride in their work, and were always friendly, courteous, and willing to answer questions as the process went along. With an infant in the house, we were a little concerned with the kid in a construction environment, but Collin and his crews kept the work area sectioned off and the rest of the living areas clean as best as they could given the work.
In the end, our kitchen is exactly how we envisioned it. We frequently watch HGTV and see kitchens that look straight out of a magazine. We can honestly say based on how it turned out and our friends jaw dropping reactions to seeing our kitchen, that Collin nailed it and was able to give us that same level of kitchen.
We would gladly work with Collin again on future projects, and highly recommend him for any size renovation. We can’t say enough good things about his work.

This letter of recommendation is in reference to Mr. Collin Stoops. After much research to build a waterproof deck on the second floor of our home, we found Collin Stoops. We were so impressed with his work and knowledge that we again contracted him to do a major project at our home. The project included installing a pool, 2000 square feet of decking, entire new fencing, a large arbor, and a pavilion. It was necessary to level our entire yard and build retaining walls, some as high as 15 feet as well as bringing in tons of earth to achieve this feat. There was also electrical work, lighting and much more.
Since this was not our first experience dealing with contractors, we knew it could either be a nightmare or a dream. Make no mistake, dealing with Collin was a dream. He is responsive, stays in touch, returns phone calls quickly, keeps you in the loop, and is quick to point out cost saving alternatives. He has a great work ethic. Collin is reliable and honest. He will only accept the highest quality of work from his many subcontractors. In conclusion, anyone who needs a contractor in Collin’s field of expertise would be hard pressed to find anyone better.

The work was started and completed in a very timely manner and your crew did a great job with all of the angles and small pieces they had to install. Your painters also did a great job caulking and painting the entire house. When I needed a small roofing re-do done, you and your crew fixed it at not additional charge and I do not believe it was even your issue. Collin Stoops oversaw the installation of new energy efficient replacement windows and Hardie Plank fiber cement siding and trim on our home in North Dallas. Two years later, we had Collin oversee the remodeling of two bathooms at our home. To this day, we remain extremely pleased with all facets of the work. All the work was performed in a professional manner, on time and within budget. The work sites were cleaned every evening.
In addition to his detailed knowledge of how good construction work should be done, Collin is an excellent communicator. In my opinion, that is an important asset. I would not hesitaite to use Collin again for work on our home and I would recommend him to all potential customers.
